Ian, the traffic cone (VLC icon) means nothing. (Not sure if this changes if you shoot videos in M, though.). One of the main D600 improvement is the 100% HDMI output. I would like to bracket between spot, matrix and integral metering. It took them a while, but at least they bothered trying! Is there some known problem here? Is the AF-C tracking that much better with the new firmware? I updated my D800 a few days ago with absolutely no issues at all. Whatever is set as the first card; that's the card that needs the update (D800_0110.bin) file written to it.
